You are invited to the official launch of the Blue Mountains Renewable Energy Co-operative.
2-4pm, Sat 10 August
Lawson Public School Hall
For over a year now, Blue Mountains Renewable Energy Cooperative has been an evolving idea which is now becoming a reality. As a registered cooperative, we can formally embark on our vision to create affordable, decentralised, locally owned, renewable energy and return financial benefit to our local community.
On Sat, 10 August, former Federal Court Judge Murray Wilcox will MC our launch, which celebrates this important step forward. The launch provides an opportunity for our community to come together to learn about our plans for the future – including our two proposed solar projects. It’s also an opportunity for our community to step up with us and become active, financial members – to ensure the cooperative has both the enthusiasm and the resources it requires to succeed.
This event has been supported with generous financial assistance from the Katoomba & Upper Blue Mountains Bendigo Community Bank Branch.
How to get there
Wow! Great turnout for this event – 94 people registered at the front desk and most said they would join the Co-operative. See some pics on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/BMRenew
I am interested and will be coming on Saturday
